Building on a very productive and sucessful second term as Mayor of St. Clements... Mayor Steve Strang’s work in office is just beginning.

The municipality has gained serious momentum in building up resources and funding, for several needed projects, and issues that will improve our local community. Mayor Strang is also building on a stronger tie between communities and government.

The floods of recent years have proven to be very emotional and costly to the residents in the communities who were affected. Mayor Steve was on the front lines, working long hours to ensure his community was well represented and compensated throughout the entire process.

Fundraising has been instrumental in promoting funds and raising awareness to St. Clements and its people. Mayor Strang is front and center at most events working his hardest to represent his residents.

About Mayor Steve

Mayor Steve Strang has Chaired the Manitoba Capital Region which consists of the City of Winnipeg and the 15 municipalities surrounding it. The Capital region is in place to deal with regional issues that would affect all municipalities surrounding the City of Winnipeg. Issues such as Transportation, Regional Planning, Environmental issues, etc.

Over the last six years as Mayor, my Council and I have accomplished much progress, while at the same time dealing with issues. Issues such as overland flooding, ice inducted flooding (worst ever in 2009) and a devastating tornado in the Gull Lake area.
